Attractive blonde who started acting at age 12, doing mostly commercials until her first TV acting job on "Spencer" (1984-85), a short-lived high school sitcom starring Chad Lowe. After a series of guest spots on TV shows, Locane landed her first film role in "Lost Angels" (1989) with Donald Sutherland. It wasn't until she was cast opposite Johnny Depp in John Waters' "Cry Baby" (1990), however, that Locane's career started picking up steam. After two years of steady work she was cast as Sandy Louise Harling, a southern belle amongst the trendy California twenty-somethings in Aaron Spelling's "Melrose Place".
Amy Locane is married to Mark Bovenizer and has a baby daughter born in January 2007.

Away: If you only watch
this because Amy Locane gets seriously naked you are missing an
Excellent movie. Joseph (Dennis Hopper), a teacher and farmer in
a small Midwestern town, is in the midst of a full-fledged
mid-life crisis. On one hand, there's his long-time girlfriend,
Rosealee (Amy Irving). She wants Joseph to come to a decision
about their relationship and their future. But on the other
hand, there's Catherine Wheeler (Amy Locane), Joseph's beautiful
17-year-old student. The smitten teen would very much like to
have an affair with him... and has no qualms about making her
feelings known. Even though he realizes it might lead to
disaster, Joseph just can't resist this sexy young woman.

Based on Dan Wakefield's 1971 novel
of the same name, "Going All the Way" is a
somewhat darkly-shaded character study of two unlikely friends
in 1950's Indianapolis. One of the charcters, Sonny Burns
(played by "Saving Private Ryan's" Jeremy Davies), is
the complete antithesis of a glamorous Hollywood leading man,
and Davies completely brings to life the character described
Wakefield's original book. His brooding, half-mumbled
performance perfectly captures Sonny's underlying anger,
confusion, and insecurity. Actress Amy Locane (who previously
appeared in "School Ties") also shines in a smaller
part as Sonny's longsuffering girlfriend Buddy Porter. Although
she does not have an over-abundance of dialogue, Locane conveys
a lot of emotion with her expressive eyes and facial expressions.
It's a must see film. |
